The shape of the land is improbable, with a steep slope, both along the front line and towards the bottom of it.

 

Yet, all the needs of family life are harmoniously distributed there, making them accessible and fluid. And the entire volume of the house is the result of this adaptation operation.

 

Piece by piece, the house sits on this difficult terrain: it is tamed and enhanced by the strong relationships forged between all the constructed spaces.

 

The remaining surface (approximately 70%) surrounds the entire house, up to the street front, and acts as a lateral connection between all the daily living areas: it becomes the counterpart of the interior living spaces, but also of the semi-covered swimming pool which is located on the lower floor.

 

The void becomes a rewarding element, clearly sculpting the volumes and making an astonishing and composite puzzle imposing and fascinating.
