Design Sfacciettata
At first glance, it is a block of stone, a finely polished monolith.
But if we look closely, we notice different details.
First, the presence of a cross-section that divides the block in two, from one corner to the other, obliquely.
Then, the inclination of the faces, all different, each having its own. Thus, if it rests on a horizontal face.
It is not immediately clear what this superb and intriguing object is for, nor how to use it: the element of water must arrive, which sculpts the space, defines the shapes and concretizes the functions of what is, in fact, a pedestal sink.
Sfacciettata is the result of an obsessive study of the gestures of hand washing: the only thing that matters is the jet of water on them and the way it flows.
Our finely sculpted and polished monolith then becomes an elegant hiding place for everything not essential to this simple act. A project in collaboration with the LDA.iMdA office.
